Gary Glennon fundraising for Beaumont Hospital Foundation in RDJ Dublin City Triathlon 2025
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page Earlier this year my brother David (Davey) Glennon passed away following a short battle with cancer. Davey faced this challenge with great courage from the moment of his initial diagnosis to the very end he never complained or asked why he had to suffer this illness. His particular illness was described by his doctor as one in a million as only about 4 or 5 similar tumours are identified in Ireland every year. Davey quipped back that he must be delighted to get his hands on him so as it was so rare. To us his friends and family Davey was even more unique he was truly one of a kind. A wonderful son, brother, nephew, uncle and friend. We all miss him so much. As his illness progressed Davey spent time in Beaumont Hospital in the Oncology unit and also under the care of the Endocrinology team. Receiving great care and empathy during his stay. He had time for everyone and shared some stories and jokes with the staff who quickly fell for him like they had known him for years. On August 23rd I will be raising funds for Beaumont Foundation and in particular the Oncology Unit and the Endocrinology team. By taking part in the Dublin City Triathlon. Swimming 1500 meters in the Liffey with a 40km bike and 10km run in the Phoenix Park. I would be really grateful if you would consider donating to this great cause in Davy’s memory. Your support is really appreciated. If you can help me to promote this page, I would greatly appreciate it. You can share my page on any social media using the social sharing sections. Thanks again!
