April 2026, I’ll take on one of the toughest endurance challenges on the planet, the Marathon des Sables, a 250KM run across the Sahara Desert, completing six marathons back-to-back, carrying everything I need to survive on my back. But this isn’t just about the distance. It’s about honouring bravery, raising awareness, and fueling hope. This run is for Iggy, my uncle, and the bravest man I’ve ever known. In his final days, Iggy showed a level of courage, strength, and dignity that left a mark on everyone around him. He faced Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer of the bile duct with a spirit that never wavered. And now, I’m running to carry that courage forward.
