Eugene Hussey fundraising for Anam Cara Parental & Sibling Bereavement Support clg in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2025
I am running the Dublin City Marathon to raise money for Anam Cara Parental and Sibling Bereavement Support, a charity that has been close to my heart since 2017. In 2017, I lost my beautiful daughter Tara, who was just 26 years old. Anam Cara provides a safe and compassionate space for parents and siblings who have experienced the devastating loss of a child. Their support groups, resources and community have helped me on this painful journey. They offer comfort where words often fail — simply by being present, by listening and by understanding. Running 26.2 miles is no small feat, but every step I take is in memory of Tara — for her spirit, her laughter and the love she gave so freely. This marathon is my way of honouring her life and giving back to an organisation that continues to help grieving families like mine. If you are able, I would be deeply grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly to Anam Cara, allowing them to continue their vital work and extend their reach to others who need it most. Thank you for standing beside me as I run this marathon — for Tara, for Anam Cara and for every family learning to live with loss. With heartfelt thanks, Eugene
