How do you know someone’s a runner?! Because they tell you!! So…. everyone is likely painfully aware that Im a runner. However, ive never done a full road marathon! So, this weekend, without enough training or sleep, I will be attempting my first full road marathon! Im running to support Our Lady’s Hospice & Care Services, an organisation that I’m so proud to have worked with for the last 10 years. I’m in awe of the front-line team and their incredible support of our patients. This is where fundraising comes in – it lets us do thing we otherwise wouldn’t have funding for. That’s why I’m hoping to raise €2,000 to support our residents in our longer stay residential unit, Anna Gaynor House. €2,000 will fund two years of day trips, celebrate birthdays and seasonal occasions with decorations for the Wards such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas as well as to buy little comforts such as snuggle blankets and socks.
