Hi there, Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. 
 This June, I'm trying to run my first marathon in Cork and in the process, I’m hoping to ask for your support. You'll not only be keeping me accountable—it's also an opportunity to support an organization that does incredible work in cancer research. Over the last few years, I’ve witnessed firsthand the impact the Breakthrough team has had in this field of medicine. Supporting researchers who are trying to create cures for cancer is a cause that truly resonates with me. Sadly, cancer touches all of us in some way. Backing our best and brightest to find solutions is how we tackle the world's biggest challenges, and this is no different. With your support, I hope we can contribute to this effort. Organised by Cork City Council, the marathon has three distances: the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K race. The routes weave through Cork City’s scenic and vibrant streets and suburbs, past iconic landmarks and along the bustling quays. The incredible support from Corkonians lining the streets, paired with the camaraderie among participants, guarantees a memorable day for all.

The Cork City Marathon is open to all, from elite athletes chasing records to first-time runners tackling personal goals. It's more than a race—it’s about community, resilience, and making a difference.

Building on the €200,000 raised for 58 charity partners in 2024, we aim to double this target in the coming years. With our new tagline ‘Your Race, Their Hope.’ We encourage participants to run for causes close to their hearts, making every stride on June 1 count towards vital, life-changing work.
 
As a full member of AIMs the Cork marathon is IAAF certified.
