Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the 2026 Aer Arann Half Marathon, taking place this April on Inis Mór and supporting patient care in the Mater Hospital. I had the pleasure of doing work experience in Transition Year where I got to see first hand the incredible work the doctors, nurses and staff do in the Mater Hospital. They truly are real life superheroes making huge contributions daily to saving human lives. The Mater is emotionally significant to me because of the fantastic treatment my Nana received that prolonged her life considerably and allowed her to be of in utmost comfort before her passing. As well, sadly, my Grandad is in hospital currently where The Mater, similarly to Nana, is giving it their all to improve his health and being so accommodating to us visitors. Seeing this hard work in person really hits home and I want to do my part by reaching this donation goal and try give back at least a little bit of what they did/ are doing for my Nana and Grandad.
