Milford Hospice is a provider of Specialist Palliative Care for people with a wide range of needs from rehabilitation to end of life care. This high quality, person-centred care is provided both on-site in our special facilities as well as in the local community. There are just over 350 staff and over 100 volunteers who deliver this excellent service for patients and their families at a most difficult time in their lives. In order to maintain services at levels capable of responding to the ever growing needs and operating to the highest standards of care, there continues to be a significant reliance on fundraising events which are vital to make up the shortfall necessary to sustain the provision of this quality of care on offer at Milford Hospice.
The 2024 Cook Medical Mini Marathon will return to the University of Limerick on Sunday 6th October! Over the last three years, the event has raised over €150,000 for local charities. Event organisers hope that this years all-inclusive race will continue to raise much-needed funds for charity. The event kicks off at noon on Sunday 6th October, at the University of Limerick Sports Arena. Participants of all ages will run, jog, or walk the 5 km and 10 km courses at their own pace while raising funds for personally chosen charities in Limerick, the Mid-West, and nationwide.
