Park Lodge Medical Centre fundraising for LauraLynn Children's Hospice and St. Gabriel's Foundation

At Park Lodge we are coming together to fundraise for two fantastic causes that are close to our heart. Matthew Lane is the son of two of our GPs in the practice Alison and Ger Lane, and he receives amazing support from these organisations. St Gabriel's Foundation provides an educational, therapies and respite role to children with significant disabilities in the Mid-West Region. LauraLynn is Ireland's only Children's Hospice providing hospice and palliative care and support for children with life limiting conditions and their families from all across Ireland. They recently set up a Community Team in Mallow, Co Cork which provides home based supports for children and families across Cork, Kerry and Limerick. This team works collaboratively with services that already exist in the region. Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Your support is really appreciated. You can share our page on social media platforms using the social sharing sections. Thanks again. Park Lodge

Owner messages:

We are closing this amazing fundraiser having raised €34,700 for these two amazing charities. We want to thank everyone who contributed so so generously to these causes. The funds in St Gabriel’s are going towards a brilliant Innowalk device that will help the children in the school with significant mobility difficulties to simulate walking and work on all the muscle groups involved. LauraLynn will utilise the funds both in the hospice and in the community based services. Thank you all so much 🙏🙏🙏

About St. Gabriel's Foundation

St. Gabriel's provide a range of specialist services and therapy interventions for 1600 children with disabilities in the Midwest. 64 children with profound physical disabilities attend a special school onsite. St. Gabriel's also provide hydrotherapy and orthotic services to children with disabilities and to people in the wider community. A recent addition to our services is a beautiful purpose-designed Children's Respite House at Mungret. The house caters for overnight respite needs of children with significant physical disabilities and associated complex medical needs. These are very vulnerable children who have multiple diagnosis, cerebral palsy, developmental disorder and profound learning disability. Some of the children also have life-limiting conditions. Fundraising plays a major part in providing much needed funds to help support our work and improve the quality of life for children with disabilities. Thank you to all our donors for their generosity.
