David Campbell, Andy Nevin, Ciaran Geraghty fundraising for Pieta in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2024

Hi there, we're Andy, Dave & Ciaran three very ordinary middle aged men about to take on the extraordinary. The extraordinarily silly idea of trying to run the Dublin Marathon. With very little running experience let alone marathon experience we have most definitely taken on a little more than we can chew. In aid of Pieta House who do a tremendous amount of work on suicide prevention and suicide bereavement, we are running for all those effected by self harm and suicide. We also want to remember all those who have been lost to suicide and hope to encourage people to open up about their own mental health struggles. So if you would like to support Pieta House and follow the journey of three big eejits trying to conquer a marathon please donate anything you can. We did it..it all seems like a blur today as we creaked and hobbled out of our beds, but we finished the line and raised more than we ever imagined. Thanks to all of you for your donations, words of encouragement and shouting at us out there on the course yesterday. You know who you are and we couldn't have done it without you. Wow what a response..we'd like to thank each and every one of you guys for your donations to Pieta House. It's all become very serious now and the pressure is on to continue our training and get over that finish line. Although we have a target of 1500Eur we'd like to get even more than that. So if you can spread the word far and wide so we can raise as much as we can for Pieta we would be so grateful. Thanks everyone for your support so far, Dave, Andy & Ciaran.
