Hi everyone, thank you for visiting my fundraising page. My name is Christian, and I am a German Volunteer currently living in Ireland. During my volunteer year, I am involved with several organisations, including SERVE, a volunteering and development organisation (you can find more information below). In May, I will be running 10 km in the Clare Burren Marathon to support my participation in SERVE’s Overseas Volunteer Programme in the Philippines. In July, I'll travel to the Philippines, where I will work alongside local partners supporting the Badjao community — an Indigenous group facing ongoing marginalisation. We will support teaching in a local Learning Centre, help facilitate youth work and leadership activities, and assist with maintenance and improvement projects within the school and community housing. This is part of a year-long programme that includes training in Ireland, global citizenship education, and a four week overseas placement. Through this experience, I will be involved in community-based development work while learning about global justice and solidarity. Every donation goes directly toward making this programme possible.
