Cathal Kearney fundraising for Mayo Cancer Support with The Neale

This was undertaken for Mayo Cancer Support to support the great services they provide. The MCS team were delighted with the response to the fundraiser, and are most worthy of any and all help and support they receive. It was a pleasure to help them out in this small way. Event details: The start point was The Neale GAA pitch in Cong, Co. Mayo. From there we cycled to Croke Park and completed the Abseil challenge, returning back to Cong by Bike the next day. This involved cycling 460km over the 2 days. There were 4 of us on bikes on the way up: Gary Collins, James Miley, Earnán Naughton and Cathal Kearney. We were joined along the way back by some other cyclists who provided invaluable support to tiring legs!! These were Peter Woulfe, Darragh McShane, Paul Monaghan and George Miley. They appeared along the way at different points and gave the group a great boost! Another important team member Ronnie Greaney made his way to Athlone and took over van driving duties, this meant more of us could cycle. Van driving also included feeding bikers - thanks Ronnie! We looked after all the logistics around this venture separately to the fundraiser. Proof of cycle: Day1: https://www.strava.com/activities/16095244448 Day2: https://www.strava.com/activities/16107962612 Everything you donate goes directly to Mayo Cancer Support.
