Christopher Clowes fundraising for Irish Cancer Society
On September 6th I ran the Dingle Marathon in 4hr36m52s, This was my first marathon. I ran to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society, an organisation that plays a crucial role in supporting individuals, including my family member who told me they had done wonders for them. I have personally heard from those close to me who have interacted with the Irish Cancer Society, and they have spoken about the unique and often unexpected ways in which the organisation has provided vital assistance to those battling cancer. Despite hitting my goal of 5,000euro, which I am very proud to have done, I will be going under surgery on the 16th September for an injury I received during my training. I have a bucket handle meniscus tear which requires internal stitches and I will take 6 months to rehabilitate. Please share so we can get as many contributions as we can - all donations matter and this is a subject that is close to my heart.
