Helen Reid’s Final Run fundraising for Barnardos in Irish Life Dublin Half Marathon September 2025

At 70 years young, Helen Reid is lacing up her running shoes one last time to take on the Dublin Half Marathon this September 21st, alongside her running partner and grandson Cormac Butler. This isn’t just any race—it’s a milestone moment for Helen as she completes her final marathon, all in aid of Barnardos, a charity dedicated to supporting vulnerable children across Ireland. Helen has been an inspiration to many, proving that age is no barrier when it comes to determination and giving back. Alongside Cormac, she is taking on this incredible challenge to raise vital funds for Barnardos, ensuring that children in need receive the care, support, and opportunities they deserve.
