Owner messages:

Day 6. It was another crystal clear morning with a big beautiful blue sky. We left our pension (guest house) in O Pedrouzo at 8.00am. Once out of the town we entered woods mostly made up of eucalyptus trees. They are amazing , like dead straight steel pillars with a spread of branches much higher than the native teams. Michael, our guide, walked with us until the village of Amenal (about two miles). He then left us to see to other groups he as walking. See DHM Facebook for a more detailed update

Day 5. It has been one more great day walking the Camino. Yesterday was the longest stage at 18 miles & today was 12 miles. We have met a great many nationalities & people of all ages on the walk. People from all over Europe, the Americas, & Asia. We met a big crowd from South Africa today. The first Africans we have met on the walk. Today was also amazing for the number of school groups walking. They were faster than us but always smiled & gave the traditional ‘Buen Comino' Read more on DHM Facebook

Day 4 started with a very different breakfast in Casa Curro, where we were staying. A huge Coissant type thing with fried eggs. Lovely people though. Phil & I started walking at 7.45am with 18 miles ahead of us. Martin our guide had to see other groups this morning. There are plenty of small Pilgrim churches on this stretch of the Camino we visited all that were open. They are beautiful inside and provided unique stamps for our pilgrims passport. Day 3. 24 km day or 15 miles. We were up & had breakfast for 8am & left Portomarin 30 mins later. Michael, the guide left us at this point to sort out his groups. It was a long, slow climb of 8 km's to Gonzor where we stopped for coffee. The walk was mostly through woodland, which helped shelter us from the sun. There were some beautiful views looking back. We spoke to 77 year old gentleman from Argentina, and followed a priest who was leading a Service whilst walking. Further updates on DHM Facebook

Day 2. Today we walked from Sarria to Portomarin. It turned out to be 24km. We walked through some beautiful countryside & were surrounded by other walkers whilst on the journey. We had some great conversations with a family from the Philippines & one from South America. There are a large number of nationalities walking of all ages & stages. All wanting to show their love for God, & being welcomed by the people of Northern Spain. Head to Divine Healing Ministries Facebook for a more detailed update.
