URBAN SOUL BELFAST fundraising for NIPANC
This year, Urban Soul Belfast will be entering two teams in the Belfast City Marathon to raise vital funds for NIPANC, Northern Ireland’s leading pancreatic cancer charity — a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts. Last year, our family lost our much-loved Dad and Grandad to pancreatic cancer, a loss that continues to be felt every day. In his memory, we’ll be running together—my sister Aisling, my niece Megan, and I—supported by our wonderful friends and fellow runners Kirsty, Sinead, Cathy, Olivia, Charlotte, Matthew, and Cassie. Pancreatic cancer is so often diagnosed at a late stage, as early detection remains incredibly difficult and awareness is still far too low. Sadly, experiences like ours are all too common. Based in South Belfast, Urban Soul Yoga and Pilates Studio has seen first-hand just how many lives—both within our studio and across the wider community—are touched by cancer. By running the Belfast City marathon, we hope to raise vital funds and awareness to support research, improve early detection, and help give families more time and better outcomes in the future. We are incredibly grateful for the work of NIPANC, who provide hope in the face of one of the toughest cancers through funding research, raising awareness, and supporting families when they need it most. We’re running to honour those we’ve lost, to stand with those currently fighting, and to help create a future where lives are saved. Every donation, no matter how small, truly makes a difference. Thank you for supporting us, NIPANC, and for helping us turn our miles into hope. 💙 Urban Soul relay teams x 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️🌺
