URBAN SOUL BELFAST fundraising for NIPANC
This year, Urban Soul Belfast will be entering two teams in the Belfast City Marathon to raise vital funds for NIPANC, Northern Ireland’s leading pancreatic cancer charity — a cause that is incredibly close to our hearts. Last year, I lost my father, Donal, and our second team captain, Megan, lost her grandfather to pancreatic cancer. My Dad had been feeling unwell on and off for some time and underwent numerous tests, but by the time he was diagnosed, he was already stage 4 and terminal. Sadly, this is all too common with pancreatic cancer, as early detection is extremely difficult and awareness remains low. Based in South Belfast, Urban Soul Yoga and Pilates Studio has seen first-hand how many lives within our studio and wider community are affected by cancer. Through running the Belfast City marathon, we hope to raise vital funds and awareness to support research, improve early detection, and help give families more time and better outcomes in the future. We are incredibly grateful for the work of NIPANC, who provide hope in the face of one of the toughest cancers through funding research, raising awareness, and supporting families when they need it most. We’re running to honour those we’ve lost, to stand with those currently fighting, and to help create a future where lives are saved. Every donation, no matter how small, truly makes a difference. Thank you for supporting us, NIPANC, and for helping us turn our miles into hope. 💙 Breige, Megan & our amazing Urban Soul relay teams x
