Half Marathon in the memory of Curtis Berryman fundraising for Northern Ireland Kidney Research Fund (NIKRF) in Phoenix Energy Belfast City Half Marathon 2026
Before Christmas, our family experienced the heartbreaking loss of my cousin, Curtis. No words can truly describe the impact his passing has had on his mum, dad, sister, brother, our wider family, and everyone who knew and loved him. In the middle of such unimaginable heartbreak, my Auntie Heather and Uncle Michael made the most selfless decision anyone could make. They chose to donate Curtis’ organs, giving others the precious gift of life. 💙 Because of the incredible decision that they made, Curtis’ legacy lives on. His organ donation saved five lives and helped restore another person’s sight. Six months on, all five recipients are thriving! I’m running a half marathon on the 20th September in Curtis’ memory to honour his life, celebrate the incredible legacy he has left behind, and support a cause that means so much to our family. Every mile I run will be for Curtis, and every donation will help raise awareness of the life-changing impact of organ donation. If you’re able to donate, no matter how big or small, my Auntie, Uncle, his siblings and our family would be so grateful. If you can’t donate, sharing this page would mean the world to us. Thank you for helping celebrate Curtis life and the extraordinary difference he continues to make. Forever loved, forever remembered.❤️
