Here's the deal, I'm going to run the marathon. I'm going to enjoy it for the most part, but there are likely moments that I really won't. If nothing is on the line then I only have to be disappointed with myself if I don't finish it. If there's some genuine good on the line then I have no choice but to hammer this thing out. The discomfort of my voluntary endeavor is nothing compared to the awful situations that UNICEF will use the money to try and ease for people in some of the worst conditions in the world.

About UNICEF Ireland

UNICEF began in the aftermath of World War II, supplying dried milk, nutritional supplements, medicines, immunisations and other urgent assistance to help starving and ill children in Europe, the Middle East and China. Today UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories to save and improve children’s lives. In cooperation with governments and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), UNICEF saves and protects the world’s most vulnerable children, working to ensure child rights and providing health care, immunisations, nutrition, access to safe water and sanitation services, basic education, protection and emergency relief.
