Sarah, Lauren and myself are running the Belfast half marathon on the 20th September for Northern Ireland kidney research. Between the 3 of us we have 27 years renal experience working with patient affected with kidney diease. This doesnt just affect their health but it is a huge impact on their social life, working life and mental health. Each patient is on their own journey and requires different levels of support. Patients can be very restricted with their daily food intake as well as their fluid intake which can be difficult to maintain for patients. Kidney research is the only charity in northern ireland to raise money for research and possible cure for people affected by kidney disease. I am pleased to be raising money for such a charity .
