AnneMarie McColgan's Events fundraising for Irish Heart Foundation and The Gavin Glynn Foundation

Series of events with final being a 50 km Arctic Challenge for Two Vital Causes In March 2026, I’ll take on the 50 km Arctic Challenge to raise funds for the Irish Heart Foundation and the Gavin Glynn Foundation. These charities support families facing heart disease, stroke, and childhood cancer—battles far tougher than any I’ll face on the ice. Every step I take in the Arctic is for them. Please support my challenge and help make a difference.

About Irish Heart Foundation

Every hour someone in Ireland suffers from a stroke. Every day, hundreds of Irish people are diagnosed with heart disease. The lives of these people are often cut tragically short. Many are left disabled. Almost 9,000 people die each year, making heart disease and stroke one of the nation’s biggest killers. It shouldn’t be this way and this fact forms our reason for being. We are the nation’s heart and stroke charity. Our mission is to effect positive change in the lifestyles of Irish people, to achieve better outcomes for those affected by heart disease and stroke and to challenge when the health of our nation is put at risk. We empower people to live longer, healthier lives. Thank you for choosing to support us.

About The Gavin Glynn Foundation

The mission of The Gavin Glynn Foundation is to assist families battling childhood cancer in Ireland with all the logistical and financial aspects of travelling overseas for specialist cancer treatment not available in Ireland. We are the only registered charity in Ireland providing this support to families battling childhood cancer. The Gavin Glynn Foundation arrange all logistics and cover all costs associated with: • Transportation (eg. Flights, Car Hire). • Transportation to and from the designated Airports. • Accommodation within, or close to, the designated medical centre. • Food and living expenses for the duration of the child’s treatment while abroad. By taking the financial burden and stress away from the families, it allows parents focus all their time on their child and family. To date, with the support of the Foundation’s amazing supporters, The Gavin Glynn Foundation has been able to help 275 families from all over Ireland. Please visit www.TGGF.IE
