About Women's Aid
Women’s Aid is a national organisation working to prevent and address the impact of domestic violence including coercive control since 1974.
We want to see an equal society for all with a zero tolerance of all forms of violence against women.
We run the 24hr National Freephone Helpline 1800 341 900, which is available 7 days a week. The National Helpline is a listening service and provides practical information and support as well as referral to local independent domestic violence services and refuges across the country. This service can provide support in over 200+ languages.
The Helpline team also provide support through the National Instant Message Support Service on www.womensaid.ie.
We also provide face to face and court support services and carrying out training, public awareness and campaigning work.
About VHI Womens Mini Marathon Fundraising Campaign 2026
The Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon is a 10k road race, which takes place every June bank holiday weekend in Dublin city centre. It is the largest women’s event of its kind in the world.
Hundreds of charities are also big winners. Women taking part in the event choose which charity they will support and raise funds for, and any local causes gain vital funds from the event. The Vhi Women’s Mini marathon is one of the largest one-day charity events in the country.
The Women’s Mini Marathon mission is to organise a world-class event in a safe environment and enable participants to raise much-needed funds for charities. We are committed to promoting the development of a healthy lifestyle for women and providing a great 10km event which they can walk, jog or run together to achieve their personal goals.
