Amanda Irmida Kazak fundraising for Pieta in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2024

Hello! I am running The Dublin Marathon in aid of Pieta. This is a charity that is deeply close to my heart due to loosing my mum in her battle with mental health just some time ago. For quite a while I felt a severe tension and anxiety whilst talking about how I lost a parent, however not due to the pain or grief I was dealing with, but due to the taboo nature of the subject. Over time, feeling those around me struggling with their mental health and unfortunately witnessing “too many leave too soon”, made me realize the importance of talking about it regardless of the social custom it has. Then, hearing that according to CSO, in Ireland, suicide was the most common cause of death amongst people aged 15-34 in 2020, put into perspective the vitality and importance of organizations such as Pieta and the services they provide - which are completely free of charge, making them majorly rely on donations. I ask for ,those who can, to donate to my fundraiser and help me raise €1500!

About Pieta

Pieta' vision is a world where suicide, self-harm and stigma have been replaced by hope, self-care and acceptance. By supporting us you will allow us to strive to make this a reality. Without your support we would not have been able to give hope to over 60,000 people since we first opened our doors in 2006. In 2020 Pieta delivered over 52,000 hours of intervention and bereavement counselling. We managed over 70,000 crisis support calls. All of our services are provided free of charge. This is only possible because of you.
