Anthony Duffy fundraising for Air Ambulance NI in Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026
This year, I’m running the Irish Life Dublin Marathon 2026, for something bigger than myself — 26.2 miles all for the Air Ambulance NI in memory of my Uncle. On 1st March 2026, an air ambulance was dispatched to Boho in rural Co. Fermanagh in an attempt to save my Uncle, Paul Duffy, suspected of suffering a heart attack and cardiac arrest. Paul was airlifted to the Royal Hospital in Belfast to receive treatment. Despite the speedy response of the air ambulance, and best efforts of the dedicated crew onboard, Paul passed away on 7th March. The Air Ambulance NI provide a vital service countrywide, and none more so than in the south west pocket of Northern Ireland where limited emergency services are available locally. A speedy response, often involving travel to Derry or Belfast, can be life saving! Your support — whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply cheering me on — means more than words can say. Thank you, Anthony
