I’m taking on the Belfast Half Marathon to raise money for Friends of the Cancer Centre in memory of my amazing mum. 🩷 The support they gave to my mum and our family during such a difficult time meant more than words can say. Running this half marathon is my way of giving something back, so they can continue providing the same incredible care, support and comfort to other families when they need it most. Friends of the Cancer Centre has been dedicated to making a real and meaningful difference to cancer patients and their families across Northern Ireland for over 40 years. The charity's work focuses on four key areas – patient care, patient comfort, research and cancer awareness. In the last year, Friends of the Cancer Centre invested over £1.4 million into local cancer services through the life-saving and life-changing work we support. The sponsorship money you raise will help us support even more local families, now and in the future. How your support can make a difference: £10 could provide tea and coffee for 43 people attending the hospital for treatment £25 could help pay for 1 hour of specialist nursing care from our team of 21 nurses £250 could help support a patient financially through our grant programme
