Adrian Barnett fundraising for World Vision Ireland
I have recently started sponsoring a 9-year-old boy named Henry, through the charity, World Vision. The charity brings hope and protection to children in the world's most toughest places. Henry lives in Honiara in the Solomon Islands with his family in a community where access to clean water, education and basic resources can be limited. Through sponsorship, he is supported with essentials such as schooling, nutrition and access to a safer, more stable environment. In July 2026, I will be travelling to the Solomon Islands to meet Henry and to better understand the community he lives in (I’m covering my own costs for the travel). This is not just about sponsorship at a distance, but about building a real connection and seeing first-hand the impact that this support has. Alongside this, I have set a goal to raise £3,000 before the trip. The funds raised will go towards supporting Henry and the wider community programmes delivered by World Vision, helping to provide practical, long-term improvements in areas such as education, clean water and wellbeing. If you are able to contribute, thank you – any support, large or small, will make a meaningful difference. Your support is really appreciated. If you can help to promote this page I am very grateful. You can share my page on any social media using the social sharing sections. Thanks again!
