The Community Rescue Service (CRS) is a charitable, volunteer-based search and rescue organisation operating across Northern Ireland. As a registered charity, CRS plays a critical role in supporting communities by providing a 24/7 emergency response, particularly in the search for high-risk and vulnerable missing persons.
The CRS are the only accredited Lowland Rescue team in Northern Ireland.
Working in close partnership with the Police, other emergency services, and local communities, CRS volunteers are highly trained in a range of specialist skills, including land and water search operations, crisis intervention, boat response, and swift water rescue. Our work often involves time-sensitive and emotionally challenging situations, and their presence is a vital lifeline to families and individuals in distress.
Funded entirely by donations and public support, the Community Rescue Service operates with a strong sense of compassion, professionalism, and dedication to saving lives.
