Autism NI supports autistic children, adults and their families in Northern Ireland. There are 1 in 17 children with an autism diagnosis in Northern Ireland, and thousands of families are facing long waiting lists and limited support. Demand for Autism NI’s services has never been higher. Our autistic community is facing endless challenges around accessing the right support at a time when they need it the most. By fundraising for Autism NI at the Belfast City Marathon, every penny raised will directly fund our Helpline and support our tireless work to deliver specialist support for children, their families and autistic adults. In some areas, families are waiting up to 6 years for a child's diagnosis of autism and up to 8 years for an adult to receive their diagnosis. Autism NI’s vision is an inclusive Northern Ireland where every autistic person has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
