FoodCloud is a non-profit social enterprise working to tackle the twin issues of food waste and food security. We do this by redistributing surplus food from the food industry to a network of charity and community partners. In Ireland, FoodCloud offers two services to redistribute surplus food to a network of over 650 community groups; - Our technology platform (Foodiverse) connects over 500 supermarkets with surplus or excess food directly to local community groups. - Our three warehouses redistribute large quantities of surplus food from the supply chain to our network of community groups all over Ireland. FoodCloud’s technology platform is now also being used across multiple food banks worldwide including with FareShare in the Uk, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Kenya and Indonesia.
