The Irish Liver Foundation was set up in 2022 and is made up of health care professionals working voluntarily to support those with liver disease.
The Charity has the following goals and objectives:
• To bring together a community of adult and pediatric patients affected by liver disease, with healthcare professionals and researchers in the field
• To ensure that all patients affected by liver disease receive world-class care no matter where they are on the island of Ireland
• To promote and support high quality, impactful research into liver disease
• To promote awareness of liver disease and reduce associated stigma
• To drive innovation in the delivery of care of liver disease
• To advocate for healthcare policies that improve the liver health of the Irish population
• To support measures that will reduce morbidity and mortality associated with liver disease in Ireland
• To support measures that will improve the quality of life of patients affected by liver disease in Ireland
