A safe, competitive, and challenging run, in memory of a former club player and friend, Brendan Reilly who passed away in 2017. The race route will take participants past the scenic monastic site, where the 10th century high crosses and round tower of Monasterboice are located.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading cause of death in both men and women. The tragic reality is – around 16 people will have a heart attack today. Just today, and every other day. And on each of those days, 20 others will have a stroke. These are extraordinary and stark facts. But the equally remarkable – and hopeful – reality is: 80% of early heart disease and stroke cases are preventable. That’s why the Irish Heart Foundation has been here for 60 years. Here to lead the charge to protect the cardiovascular health of everyone in Ireland. Here, to eliminate preventable death or disability. Here to collaborate. Here, not just as one of Ireland’s most trusted and effective charities, but to build a lifesaving movement across the country. We are here regardless of age, background or means. Here for every community, every school, and every workplace. Here for every heartbeat.
