fundraising for Pieta
we are completing the Dublin Marathon as Seven Steps for Pieta. Each of us has gone through our own hardship or supported a loved one through some extremely trying times. We are aware of how powerful it is when someone just listens to you and how lonely it might seem when your mind is against you. Pieta House is a symbol of kindness. It's a place where people are accepted without passing judgement, where difficult talks are encouraged, and where people are reminded that they are important, even on days when they don't feel that way.
It's difficult to train for a marathon. There are days when you feel like giving up, and your drive is low. That is similar to mental health journeys in many ways just showing up may be a significant accomplishment, and improvement isn't always linear. Every step we take is dedicated to those who persevere despite feeling overpowered. In addition to raising money, we're racing to spread awareness and initiate dialogue.
